Problem
AI and code tools can produce a whole website in an afternoon, but the person who owns it still cannot change a price or a photo without a developer.
Approach
Built Plainly on Pages CMS (MIT): a form-based editor over a site’s GitHub repo. Owners sign in with a 6-digit email code, no GitHub account needed. Each site describes its editable content in a .pages.yml. Images are downscaled and converted to WebP in the browser before upload. Every save is a commit, and the site rebuilds and publishes itself.
Outcome
It runs the content of this site.
Stack
Next.js, better-auth, Drizzle with PostgreSQL, a GitHub App, Resend, Vercel.
