Problem
The Localy coffee bar needed a brand site that captured its identity (cream, coral, lowercase, big type) and loaded instantly on a phone, with no online-ordering system to maintain. Most cafe sites are heavy templates that feel generic and slow.
Approach
Built a static brand site with Astro to the Localy brandbook: cream background, coral accent, warm brown, large typography, an all-lowercase interface. Production ships pure HTML and CSS with zero KB of JavaScript. The menu and gallery are edited through Plainly (self-developed CMS), so there is no database to run, and the brand typeface is self-hosted rather than pulled from a CDN. It is also built for the AI era, not only search: the site ships structured data and an llms.txt, so answer engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity can read and cite it, not just classic crawlers. That is GEO, generative engine optimization.
Outcome
Live at cafe.localy-store.ru: a fast, premium-feeling brand site that loads instantly on mobile and is trivial for the owner to keep updated.
