Problem

Community operators live on high-quality member introductions, but making the right match by hand does not scale as a community grows. EventLabs needed a way to turn a growing community into consistently good introductions without a human reading every profile.

Approach

Built Gustaf end-to-end: a public landing page that explains the product and captures sign-ups, a community-manager dashboard the operator uses to run and review matches, and an AI backend that reads member profiles and proposes high-quality introductions. React 19 and TanStack Router on the landing, Next.js for the dashboard, Python for the AI service.

Outcome

Live at gustaf.app, covering the full stack from public page to operator dashboard to AI matching. Ran a live pilot inside the team, then documented and handed the product and codebase over to EventLabs in August 2026, where it continues under their team.
